Friday Payday

Above is a pic I found on the web. Nothing to do with nothing, just a picture. I’m not saying anything.
As I type this I am attempting to import all my blog posts to my new site www.markd60.com. It seems like it’s not working but I’m not worried, I’m still floundering about.
My old job at the radio station is being advertised again. Two announcers and one newsperson has asked me to re-apply…. Here’s another interesting link for you job seekers.
Today is Friday, my first PAYDAY!!!!!! Have a good weekend!

Kinda crabby this morning. I think Andriod 2 is by far superior to 4 and I upgraded and want to go back.

Heres a picture of my office. New computer. My last job I was there 14 years and I never got a computer. I had to buy my own or share one with the 20 announcers. I was eager to get started just to find out if I could handle it, and now I know I can.
So now I’m ready for the weekend.
I need to go to bed earlier. The alarm was cruel this morning.

Saturday! Nope.

Woke up this morning thinking it was Saturday. It just dawned on me it’s Friday.
Here it is raining. Supposed to be rainy till Monday nite. The yard coulda used mowing yesterday.
Monday is my first day of work at the new job. I used to have this little tabletop ironing board. Lately I’m wondering “whatever happened to that little tabletop ironing board?” That’s because I think I’ll need to have decent looking clothes for this job.
You can probably tell, I’m still on my first cuppa coffee.
I just saw our cats butt. He has worms. (LT, (Long Tail)) That means they all probably do.
I guess that’s it for today. I bet in one week I’ll be gladder it’s Friday than I an now! I’m eager to get started at the new job and get the beginning out of the way!

Good News Wednesday

I was using my computer yesterday to repair another computer. I saw an interesting thing. All the files on the hard drive had their attributes changed to ‘hidden’. It made for an interesting boot-up experience and all the files appeared to be gone, but the drives still full. I think the customer will be very happy his machine is fixed.
I am on the short list for the job I applied for at the Airports Authority, same time as business picks up. Like always. This time, I’m taking the job and making my business secondary, or shut it down completely. Having my own business has been like pushing a car with flat tires. If you push as hard as you can, you can make things move. But the second you stop pushing, everything stops. No coasting, no resting. And it requires continual effort and it is exhausting.
But my business has kept me alive and paid the bills for two years. A lot of people say that it take three for a business to take off.
I don’t care. If I get the job, my business can be backup for a steady paycheck.

I Don’t Know What I’m Doing

Today. I have a lot of maybe plans, but none firmed up

Two radio station jobs maybe. I’d like to defer one a day if I could. I gotta go into town and pay some bills. One bill for the only people who don’t have Internet banking yet.
Gotta order my concrete for the big pour tomorrow (or Friday). And I have some last minute readying for that.
Been working on this computer that is fuuuuuuucked up. Want to get to a stopping place on that. I’ve always hated Compaq.
And that’s my mushy P.O.D. Plan of the day.

Stinky Flower

Our tall cactus that  I got from Cayman Brac is making flowers. For some reason, a lot of our cacti are flowering this year.

On the downside, These flowers stink. BAD. Like a combination of rotten cabbage and puke.
But they’re so purdy…

Today will be busy. I have to go check a transmitter problem, possibly an audio processing problem, and get wire and lumber for the driveway job.
And the car needs a new battery.

Seems like Monday…
