if you recall, I decided to use the Boox for the month of November.

Then I ended up trapped in the USA, and couldn’t switch back to the Scribe. I’m pretty used to the Boox now, and it is a good unit.

My plan now, is to switch back to the Scribe at the end of a January. However I did do a little bit of writing on the Scribe last night and I was amazed about how much more pleasant and experience it was than writing on the Boox.

I am really looking forward to the switchback. I think I may end up using both from now on… Not good for a wannabe minimalist like me.

Yesterday, I did my US taxes and sent them in. So much nicer than waiting till the last minute.

We had a power failure last night. My tankless water heater gives instant cold water in the power of failure. I waited for the power to come back on but decided I couldn’t afford to wait so I took a cold shower and went to bed. Then the power came back on and I had to turn off the lights.

we had some good rain last night, nothing that could have caused the power outage, but much needed rain.

I had a pretty good day yesterday, opening for another good day today.

I had a very productive weekend. I purchased and installed a printer here at the house. I swam in an 800 m sea swim. And I cleaned out a large section of my closet and have a car full of stuff to drop off at the humane society this morning..

I still haven’t decided what I’m going to do about this blog and its full memory status. I think I have to get away from a GoDaddy. And I didn’t mow my yard

it’s the first Friday of the year. Made it through the first week! My attitude is different now after my “time off”

I’m pretty sure I’m going to retire at the end of this contract, if I make it even that long.

Seems.like I slept okay last night. Depends on my thoughts when I do wake up. I did wake up last night several times, but the brain wasn’t doing fireworks.

it’s funny how people say the only thing we can control is ourselves, but I find it difficult, if not impossible to control the way I feel. What I have learned is not to act on those feelings or thoughts..

lack of sleep is killing me. Last night I went to bed at about 10:30 and then woke up about 1:30. I felt like I was awake the whole rest of the night until the alarm went off at 4:45.

I just can’t shut off my brain.

Everything is always one extreme or the other. Either on the hardest worker at work and nobody does anything except me, or I’m a goof off who does nothing all day. Nothing in between.

I lay awake all night, because I can’t sleep, and then when I wake up and I’m supposed to be awake I can fall asleep standing up or in my chair. It’s insane.

Also, since I got back from the US, I seem to have an extra 15 minutes in my morning routine. There’s something that I was doing before that I’m not doing now …

before I went to work yesterday,, I was wondering whether I would have more than or less than 1,000 emails. I had 772 emails under a thousand.

I guess, with my first day back at work over and done with, my eye surgery fiasco is officially closed. Things are now back to normal as they were before I emergency fle off.

now I have to get this blog whipped back into shape. I can’t upload pictures in this I start paying (I think) $11 a month additional to my annual fees. Not sure that’s necessary with other hosting agents.

I use GoDaddy right now, that may have to change.
